RA Systems Specialist

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our IT Development team as an RA Systems Specialist! The RA Systems Specialist is responsible for diagnosing and resolving production issues, ensuring accurate pricing, distribution, and billing by developing and maintaining business rules and formulas. Additionally, the position requires analyzing contracts, tariffs, and distribution policies to create and modify rules, while also mentoring other Systems Specialists and maintaining comprehensive project documentation. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal system performance. 
• Develop and maintain Statement of Services (SOS) and Invoice Print Detail rules, producing precise billing documents for Atlas customers. 
• Analyze contracts (new/amended) to create or modify business rules, ensuring correct contractual pricing applications. 
• Analyze new and amended tariffs to create or modify business rules, ensuring accurate pricing and distribution in alignment with tariff rates. 
• Review and update contractual tariffs to ensure accurate pricing and distribution based on self-contained contractual rates. 
• Design and update rule flows to ensure accurate and efficient execution of business rules. 
• Develop and maintain formulas that calculate pricing and distribute shipments accurately. 
• Configure and update finance charge/pay codes to ensure correct financial postings. 
• Review Atlas distribution policies and procedures to create or modify distribution terms and business rules, ensuring accurate agent distribution. 
• Troubleshoot and validate rule development to ensure compliance with business requirements. 
• Manage and update data tables to support system operations and data integrity. 
• Develop and maintain test data, including unit tests, to validate system functionality and accuracy. 
• Document and maintain comprehensive project documentation for reference and future use. 
• Provide mentorship and guidance to other Systems Specialists, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment.

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. 
• 2-4 years of experience in systems analysis, business rule development, or a related field, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience are required.  
• Solid understanding of business rule development and application, with specific expertise in analyzing and interpreting contracts, tariffs, and distribution policies. 
• Proficiency in debugging and resolving complex system issues in a production environment. 
• Experience with creating and maintaining financial posting rules, pricing formulas, and data tables. 
• Familiarity with project documentation standards and practices. 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
