The Information Technology team at Atlas Van Lines is looking for dynamic and motivated individuals to join us as a Senior Software Engineer. As a Senior Software Engineer with Atlas, you will be responsible for building and maintaining software solutions in both cloud and on-prem environments. You will work with a team of other experienced engineers to build high-performance enterprise-level solutions. You will have the freedom to research and recommend new tools and solutions we can apply to our software development life cycle and DevOps pipelines.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Develops, tests, and implements new custom software systems and solutions to support Atlas’ business.
  • Utilizes latest software design techniques and contributes to the technical design of new solutions.
  • Delivers quality results on time with minimal supervision.
  • Coaches and mentors other team members when appropriate.
  • Facilitates business process changes to take advantage of new system capabilities and improve productivity.
  • Participates in code reviews of ongoing and existing system modules.
  • Leads, and participates in, the evaluation of new tools and methodologies for Atlas

Technical Experience You’ll Need

  • C#
  • Angular
  • .NET6
  • ASP.Net
  • APIs
  • SQL Server – experience developing stored procs, triggers and functions
  • Azure

Other Experience You’ll Need 

  • Fascination with learning new tools, languages, philosophies, and workflows
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, partners, and vendors
  • Competent using version control tools like TFVC or Git
  • Experience using project management tools like Azure DevOps or Jira
  • Successfully mentored junior engineers 

What Could Set You Apart 

  • BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent field
  • 3-5 years of job-related experience or combination of education and experience
  • Familiarity with establishing and maintaining CI/CD release pipelines
