Job Overview: Atlas Van Lines is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and energetic HR Intern to join our Human Resources team at the world headquarters office in Evansville, IN! The intern will be assisting with general HR and administrative duties.  Areas of focus may be in training/development, employment, or wellness/benefits. 



  • Assist in the updating and development of job descriptions
  • Assist with updating the learning management system (LMS), running training reports, and supporting the coordination of training/development events
  • Assist with researching, evaluating, and suggesting materials and courses for employee training and development
  • Assist with recruiting by attending college/community job fairs and developing rapport with local resources
  • Create social content for job postings
  • Assist with onboarding—new hire materials, orientations, surveys, etc.
  • Update company databases by inputting new employee information and employment details
  • Respond to employee and management inquiries regarding HR policies, programs, procedures, benefits, and other HR-related matters
  • Assist in planning company events and sending employee communications as needed



Employment Type & Hours: This paid internship opportunity will consist of 20-30 hours per week during school and up to 40 hours during the summer. Hours may fall between 8:00am and 5:00pm, M-F. Flexible calendar dependent upon intern’s schedule.

  • College student at the junior or senior level is preferred, majoring in the Human Resource Management, Business Managment, Business Administration, or similar field
  • Competent in Microsoft Office based programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality 
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, agents, and other outside organizations
  • Experience with HRIS or ADP is a plus
