Atlas Van Lines is seeking a rational, detail-oriented candidate to join our Transportation Services team!  This position will manage the coordination of services for household goods shipments that move in a container, regardless of container type.  Ensures servicing agents are responsive and timely.  Coordinates with Atlas Logistics for third party transportation with truckload (TL) carriers and less than truckload (LTL) carriers.

 

  • Manage agent assignments for origin/destination services of containerized shipments
  • Coordinate LTL/TL carrier services with Atlas Logistics
  • Monitor shipment service progress, provide activity updates as required
  • Accurately manage shipment updates
  • Strong problem solving abilities in order to professionally resolve issues with servicing agents and/or LTL/TL carriers
  • Provide accurate and concise reports to management as assigned

 

 

Employment Type & Hours: This full-time position will consist of 40 hours per week. Hours are from 8:00am to 5:00pm, M-F. Possible overtime.

Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, analytical, oral and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Database, Spreadsheet, and Word Processing software such as Microsoft Office
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, agents, and other outside organizations
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • 2-4 years of experience in a fast-paced customer service environment
