As part of the Chief Security Office the SOC Analyst is a senior-level role.  This position handles day-to-day operations of the in-place security solutions while identifying, investigating, and resolving security breaches detected by those systems.  Be the liaison between the on-premise and outsourced SOC partners.  Participate in the creation and maintenance of policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures as well as conducting vulnerability audits and assessments.  The SOC Analyst is expected to be fully aware of the AWG security goals and actively work towards upholding the enterprise security.  After hours on call rotation required.


Other duties assigned:


  • Participate in the planning and design of enterprise security architecture.  Create and/or maintain documentation (policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures). 
  • Maintain up-to-date detailed knowledge of the IT security industry including those developments related to the development of new attacks and threat vectors.  Recommend additional security solutions or enhancements to improve overall enterprise security.
  • Create and maintain up-to-date baselines for the secure configuration and operations of all in-place devices, whether they are under direct control (i.e. security tools) or not (e.g. workstations, servers, network devices).  Keep operational configurations of all in-place security solutions as per the established baselines.  Monitor all in-place security solutions for efficient and appropriate operations.
  • Review logs, reports, and audit of all in-place devices, whether they are under direct control or not.  Interpret the implications of that activity and devise plans for appropriate resolution.
  • Participate in investigations into problematic activity, in the design and execution of vulnerability assessments, penetration tests and security audits.  Threat hunt, support, and partner with the outsourced SOC partners.

Employment Type & Hours: This full-time position will consist of 40 hours per week. Hours may fall between 7:00am and 4:00pm/8:00am and 5:00pm, M-F. With rotating oncall.

Education and/or Experience


  • 5 plus years of job-related experience, and/or a combination of both education and experience are required. 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
